Are you facing a problem in using the Netgear Arlo HD camera at your home or getting any issues with it? If yes, then read the troubleshooting steps for various issues encountered on it.
Battery draining quickly: If the battery drains before the expected six months, then you can contact the Netgear Arlo experts.
Camera Placement: If you have placed the camera in an area where maximum movement is detected, then the motion sensor will keep on activating frequently. It is suggested to move the camera to the place where there is low traffic and the motion sensor doesn’t unnecessarily activate.
Faulty batteries: If the battery is faulty without any environmental cause, then you can approach the manufacturer and ask for a recommended battery brand.
Faulty Battery connectors: Any problem with the anode or cathode connectors result in faster draining of batteries. Check if any damage to the anode or cathode is reported, then fix it or replace it with the new one.
Blurry recording: If the videos are blurry, then check the lens for any water droplets or moisture.
The case is loose: Check seams for overlap or give. Remove the batteries and loose panel and left it to get dry in air or moisture overnight.
Protective lens damaged: Check the camera face for any damage or dust on the covering of the lens. If so, refer to the guidelines given in the blog post.
The case is cracked: If the case is cracked, then remove the batteries and the panel and leave it to air dry in moderate climatic conditions overnight. Replace the broken case thereafter.
The camera lens is broken: If after configuring the camera properly, you are not getting the visible or clear picture of an object, then it means the lens is broken. You can go through the guide given online to replace the lens carefully on your own.
Motion sensor doesn’t activate: If the camera is properly plugged-in and recording the video but doesn’t activate with motion, then check the following:
The lens is covered: There must be something that is blocking the camera lens or line of sight. Move the camera or object from front of the camera.
A sensor placed in the low-traffic area: The sensor works many times but not always. This happens if there is a problem with the sensor. If you have placed the sensor in the area where there is rare movement, then change the direction of the sensor where there is more motion detected.
Motion Sensor not working
The motion sensor doesn’t work as it should be. If this is the condition, then clean the motion sensor lens. If this doesn’t work or the lens is damaged, then replace the lens. If the motion sensor is not responding, then clean and check any damage. If there is a small damage, then get it repaired as early as possible.
